Residents Await High Court Judgement

Harare residents hauled the City of Harare to the High Court of Zimbabwe over non-payment of 25% ward retention fund. The City of Harare made the resolution on the 23rd of February 2017 but nothing has been disbursed to all forty six wards up to now.

The demand of 4 per cent of the value of the house/property for deceases estates by the High Court is standing in the way for surviving spouses and children to own properties and enjoy council rebates on rates.

Harare Runs Out of Qualified Nurses

Harare City Council Poly clinics has 242 vacancies for nurses since the beginning of Covid-19 lock down period. The shortage of nurses is being caused by poor remunerations given to these health personnel as they are paid below poverty datum line.
