ECOZI Annual Report: 2021

Below we share with you the Education Coalition of Zimbabwe’s 2021 annual report. Read on to get insights into the work!

The year 2021 will be remembered not just as a year of COVID-19 but for ECOZI as a year that revealed the vulnerability of girls and the inequalities that exist for all children in the area of education. Children with disabilities and their families experienced significant hardships as the impact of COVID-19 disproportionately affected them. Prominent amongst the challenges faced by children is the widening digital gap between learners in rural schools and those in urban schools. However, we are glad that despite all the setbacks we had a great year and we managed to implement a number of projects. Above all, we had an

Interesting development in the Education Sector including the sigrmng of the Safe Schools Campaign, Our government’s commitment to GPE, and others. As we wrap it up and look forward to a prosperous and eventful 2022, we are confident that we will keep changing the narrative and outlook of the Zimbabwean Educatlon sector through evidence-based advocacy and engagements.

We would like to thank our members for the engagements and participation, constant important stakeholders including the various line Ministries we work with, Education partners, funding partners, teachers and the children we advocate for.
