The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum has secured bail for the six MDC Alliance members arrested who were arrested in Epworth on Sunday.
They are charged with allegedly insulting police officers calling them Pres Mnangagwa’s dogs. They are now on ZWL$5000 each and will be back in court on December 14.
They are alleged to have said: “Mapurisa imi murimbwa dzaMnangagwa. Munongoshandiswa muchafa muchitambura” which can be translated “You police officers are Mnangagwa’s dogs. You are being used, you will die suffering”.
The accused persons are Nobody Makoni, Batsirai Sora, Kudzai Sachiwo, Jacob Chigodora, Chipo Mungoshi and Memory Chikodze. Noble Chinhanu from Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum represented them.
