Our ActionAid Zimbabwe Facebook page inbox has been flooded with messages by job seekers requesting verification if we recently advertised job vacancies. The adverts circulating have been posted on Facebook pages for “Bulawayo Notice Board” and “Jobs in Zimbabwe” platforms informing unsuspecting job seekers that their client, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) is seeking to employ incumbents aged 21 to 50 to work in the following fields:
Job seekers are being encouraged to WhatsApp +2630780761535 for more information. We wish to advise our valued stakeholders, development partners and members of the public that this advert or any such adverts are FAKE. ActionAid Zimbabwe dissociates itself from these adverts and advises stakeholders and members of the public to be on the lookout as unscrupulous employment agencies and fraudsters are ever on the loose.
ActionAid Zimbabwe does not have agents nor ambassadors facilitating any recruitments on our behalf. As a matter of fact, the WhatsApp number being advertised is not our number. All our job adverts are published on the official organisational website zimbabwe.actionaid.org, or on our official social media platforms, https://twitter.com/ActionAidZim and www.facebook.com/ActionAidZimbabwe. Job applications are submitted via the following email addresses: jobs.zimbabwe@actionaid.org and procurement.zimbabwe@actionaid.org.
