Objectives |
- To
promote the transformation of community conflicts into opportunities
for positive change through capacity building, research
and conflict prevention and management interventions.

Mission Statement |
| In
support of the vision, CCMT will work in the areas of reconciliation
and conflict management & transformation. CCMT will carry
out capacity building, intervention and research. CCMT shall
raise awareness and enhance capacities of communities in conflict
transformation to enable them to deal with their conflicts constructively.
From these communities and other areas, CCMT will invite community
conflict interveners to complement CCMT staff to intervene in
conflicts that have been referred to CCMT. CCMT will carry out
research on strategic conflict management and peace building
issues or themes as well as in support of its projects. CCMT
will network with other organisations to create synergies that
will strengthen the impact of its work. In its work CCMT will
use a holistic approach which will not only focus on the system,
structures and conflict issues but also on the individuals involved. |
