FREE is the word that is now extinct in the life of a Zimbabwean. I was surprised to see able bodied man and women living in urban areas tremble in fear of an 83 year old man. The people in rural areas are crying foul to those in urban areas. They have been subjected to intimidation ever since the word opposition existed in the mind of a Zimbabwean. Mr Mugabe is not a push over but he goes with blood and unless we stand he will not go I tell you. We led Our President Morgan Tsvangirai to let go after he had seen the level of fear of urban people. Morgan was right but his supporters are cowards expecting AU, SADC, and the UN to take action. These organs just observe, condemn, hold divided talks and they don't act. It is we who should rise to war and fight this system. How? Go in the street demonstrate, the police should strike, the only way they can strike is by not beating demonstrators, that's their mode of support because they are not an Island they also need to be free. Lets rise as demonstrators police and soldiers should not harm unarmed people.

I consider that probably 80 or 90% of our population would like to see the end of Mugabe and his cohorts. nevertheless the general population of this Country are peace loving and have no desire to go to war. I further consider that mass action is bordering on war in the case of the situation existing in Zimbabwe at present. Yes; it would be a one sided war, but nevertheless, many many innocent people who's only wish is for their children to have a more peaceful and better life than has been forced upon them; will be brutally murdered. History has shown that absolutely no one will come to our aid. What happened in Rwanda is a typical example. Mass action has been tried on many occasions in this Country and has always been a flop; which actually has the effect of putting a feather in the cap of the handfull of tyrants holding us to ransom. Too many businesses are not prepared to go along with it, and money and jobs are so scarce and the general population simply cant afford to go a day even without pay.

It would appear that International condemnation of the rebels (they legally ARE you know) is growing very fast. I would like to suggest that this is a far preferable line to take than mass action in Harare. I believe that any mass action would be catastrophic at this point in time. Perhaps we should all do our best to lobby international support for our cause; and I mean go all out and try to encourage as many of the population as possible to try and do their best to attract the attention of the rest of the world. The main enemies of the people of Zimbabwe are China and Russia; and even South Africa (through their president).

South Africa is actually the key to our liberation. Nearly every family in Zimbabwe has relatives or friends in South Africa. Perhaps a massive rally in Pretoria, with the help of such people as COSATU and others; and of course our 3 million or more refugees. As many of us as possible could go from here. Hire busses, or whatever. Many businesses and wealthy people would be more than willing to help. We may even be able to attract refugees from elsewhere in the World. I am sure we could secure millions of US$ in sponsorship. I am also sure that many ordinary South Africans would also join in. We could lobby the South African president to take positive action, instead of his present rediculous attitude. I am sure that we will attract more international recognition by showing the World that we are totally not allowed to hold any form of protest against the rebels in our own Country.

I do think that we should foster the term "rebels" when referring to the 12 repulsive thugs responsible for the mayhem and misery that we are all going through. We should really do our best to try to get this terminology instituted throughout the World.
