MACRAD Launch Tseu Campaign, #WomenLandNow Campaign

On 31 October 2019 MACRAD carried a Community Hall Training in Triangle Ward 18 Chitepo.

The community hall training was focusing on empowering the women with access to, control of land and women land rights. The community hall training was attended by 130 participants, 96 women and 24 men.

Moreblessing Marimbe, one of the women trained by MACRAD, managed impart knowledge she gained to other women during the training. The training was also attended by ward Councillor Mr Gilbert Mutubuki, Member of Parliament representing women Mrs C. Mugidho and Chitepo chairman.

Women in Chitepo highlighted that men are in control of agriculture land and they determines which crop to grow in that field and for the few women with access to land they fail to purchase seeds citing economic hardships.

The women agreed to request for a piece of land to the community chairman and the village head who were present on the training.

MACRAD also launch #TSEU CAMPAIGN #WomenLandNow campaign were women farmers in Gutu, Chiredziand Masvingo districts are going to receive seeds and fertilizer to use for this raining season in the aftermath of Cyclone Idai.
