Padathon: Making re-usable pads for girls in need

In response to public conversations around menstrual hygiene and access to sanitary wear, and the impact this has on girls’ education, Kubatana worked with Chisipite Senior School and Tamba Washables to host a Padathon. This was a one day event to mark International Menstrual Hygiene Day. On 27 May, more than 150 students, staff and visitors came to Chisipite Senior School and helped to make 200 packs of reusable sanitary pads and liners, for donation to underprivileged students in Epworth and Kwekwe.
